Any inspiration from Langston Hughes (famous American poet)?
ReplyDeleteThank you Sandya. It's a nice thought but perhaps too high brow for Hong Kong!? Also in general, traditional Western names (English, US or otherwise) usually only have "rare" monikers as part of their middle names ... not their first names, which tend to be conventional first names. So the example of Hughes is his first name is the conventional James and he had two rare middle names Mercer and Langston.
ReplyDeleteJames Mercer Langston Hughes (1902-67) was an American poet, social activist, novelist, playwright, and columnist from Joplin, Missouri. He was one of the earliest innovators of the then-new literary art form called jazz poetry.
