EXCERPT (from The Standard)
[Hemen and Louise] have set aside HK$400,000 for the wedding and sought advice from a financial planer, saying that even though they are young, their relationship is stable enough to last the long years of married life ahead of them.
According to Social Workers' General Union president Peter Cheung Kwok-che, the traditional view of marriage being an "iron contract" has broken down over the years as the younger generation absorb more liberal, Westernized values.
"Despite the fact that career comes first for many young people, most desire to get married much younger than before, thinking: 'If it doesn't work out then we'll just divorce,"' Cheung said.
