Thanks for letting me know about Horus. Egypt is, of course, in the headlines at the moment. The situation appears to have striking parallels to the 1989 Tiananmen protests.
I think hopes for real change and Mubarak going soon are fading, sadly. My bro and his wife went there a few years ago for their honeymoon, and they thought that the place was going backwards, and had been for some time. Without its monuments to ancient glories and the Suez Canal, Egypt would be just another insignificant dictatorship.
Some who is keen on Egyptianology? Or whose parents were. Horus, the hawk headed god.
